A packing list is mentioned but not considered sufficient labeling as the label must be permanently attached to the carton or written directly on it. There are no specific placement instructions for packing lists provided in the documents.

Yes, multiple purchase orders can be placed into a "master" carton, but the carton must be labeled "Master Packed" and should list the store numbers under the correct corresponding purchase order number if multiple purchase orders are included.

The minimum size and weight for shipping cartons are 2 lbs. and 9x9x3 inches. The maximum size and weight for cartons, excluding Neiman Marcus Direct Re-shipper Cartons, are 50 lbs. and 42x32x36 inches.

For Non-EDI shipments via any carrier including LTL, attach one copy of a packing slip to the outside of each carton. The Bill of Lading (BOL) is required for consolidated shipments, truckload, and LTL shipments; it is not required for shipments using local carriers like FedEx ground or air. BOL should be included in a 'Consolidated Paper' packet attached to the lead carton of the shipment. The packet includes a Master BOL, Manifest by DC and Department, and Packing Slips. It must contain ship from/to addresses, unique BOL number, carrier name & SCAC code. The Neiman Marcus Group prefers the use of the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Standard (VICS) BOL.

- All carton labels must be placed on the side of the carton, including GS1-128 labels, all carrier labeling, address labels, etc. - Cartons more than 6 inches tall: Labels must be placed a minimum of 1" from the bottom right corner and 1.5-3" from the side of the carton. - Cartons less than 6 inches tall: Labels should be placed in the same dimensional area as taller cartons with excess folded over the top. - Palletized cartons should have outward-facing labels. - Do not place any labels over the GS1-128 label.

Inner packaging refers to protective materials around merchandise within a container. All packaged merchandise requires sufficient inner packing such as filling all inner voids with packing materials (dunnage) to secure the item during transport.

1. Carton labels must be well labeled and permanently attached, directly written, or on a non-removable label on the carton. 2. Each carton must include the purchase order number, department number, store number, merchandise division name and number (for EDI vendors), consignee address, and vendor's "shipped from" address. 3. Only GS1-128 (UCC/EAN-128) 20 digit barcode labels are allowed on the carton. Exceptions are alpha numeric, Fedex, UPS, and airline labels. 4. For cartons more than 6 inches tall, labels must be placed a minimum of 1 inch from the bottom right corner on the side of the carton and 1.5-3 inches from the side. 5. For cartons less than 6 inches tall, labels should follow the same placement rules, with any excess of the label folded over the top. Do not cover taped seams. 6. Labels should not be placed over the GS1-128 label.

The maximum height of a loaded pallet should not exceed 55 inches from the floor to the top of the pallet, unless approved by the Neiman Marcus Supply Distribution Manager or Inventory Coordinator.
