Golf Town & Sporting Life Packaging Guidelines

All cartons are required to include a packing list containing the fields: PO#, UPC, Vendor Part Number (Style/Size/Colour), SKU Description, Qty Shipped, Qty Ordered, Total Shipped, Number of Pallets, Number of Cartons, Ship Date, Carrier, and Tracking number. The packing list for each PO# should be included inside the carton and can be attached to the outside of the shipment in a waterproof pouch.

Purchase orders must not be mixed within a carton. Each PO must be segregated and packed on pallets by PO. If multiple pallets are required, cartons must be kept in sequence. If multiple POs need to be on a pallet, they must be segregated.

Yes, multiple SKUs can be mixed on a single pallet. However, each Purchase Order (PO) must be segregated, and pallets must be packed by PO without splitting across multiple mixed pallets. Each pallet must have a pallet label with clearly marked pallet number and carton count per pallet when more than one pallet is shipped.

Yes, multiple styles (SKUs) can be packed in the same carton, but single styles must be kept together within the carton. Cartons should be packed and consolidated based on style/colour/size.

Pallets must be packed on a standard size of 40" x 48" inches.

Cartons must not exceed 50 lbs. If a carton or item exceeds 50 lbs, it must be marked as "HEAVY CARTON".

All shipments must be shipped with a Bill of Lading (BOL) that includes the following fields: Name of Carrier, Ship Date, Shipper Name & Address, Consignee Name & Address, PO#, Number of Pallets & Cartons, Total Weight, BOL/Pro #, and NMFC (Freight Classification). There is no specific requirement for the placement of BOL on the shipment provided in the documents.

Carton labels must be GS1-128 (UCC-128/M-10) labels, approved prior to shipping, and should be placed on the side of the carton, facing out when stacked on a skid. Each pallet must also have a label, and cartons on pallets should be sequenced by PO without being split. Labels must be scannable, not placed over shrink wrap, and consistently placed on each carton.
