Glik's Packaging Guidelines

Packing slips must be on the outside of the master packed carton in a removable envelope and should state the carton contents including purchase order number, style number, size, color, quantity, and number of cartons. For volume shipments, the packing slip should be attached to the outside of one designated lead carton, which should be clearly marked as the Lead Carton on all four sides and placed towards the Top of the Pallet facing out. Cartons must clearly indicate the lead carton, and the packing slip must be on the outside end or side of this carton.

All cartons shipped via UPS must weigh 6 pounds or more. Cartons under 6 pounds should be master packed to meet weight requirements according to UPS guidelines.

For pallet (LTL) shipments, Bills of Lading must: - Combine all same day shipments on one Bill of Lading. - Include Purchase Order numbers, number of cartons, weight, and pickup date. - List number of pallets, total cartons, and weight (do not mark as STC). - Show which party loaded and counted freight. - Be verified by the driver's agent for unit counts. - State NMFC IT 49880-Sub 4 details for merchandise. For parcel shipments: - UPS shipments must include the Purchase Order number in reference field #1 of the UPS label. - Use UPS account number ***** for billing Freight Collect. - Ensure UPS cartons weigh at least 6 pounds, with master packing for lighter items.
