The packing list must be indicated on the lead carton with a note on the label. It does not specify where the packing list itself should be placed.

A packing slip must be prepared for each Forman Mills purchase order and placed in a sealed envelope attached to the outside of the "Lead Carton" on the top left row of the pallet. It must include the PO number, vendor style numbers, size range and quantities per carton, color assortment per style, and total number of cartons and units being shipped. Approval in writing is needed for any discrepancies or to handle incomplete orders.

Yes, SKUs can be mixed on a single pallet, but the styles must be separated by a divider sleeve like cardboard or Kraft paper. The styles must be grouped together (top/bottom) and not co-mingled on the pallet.

For pallet shipments weighing 500 lbs or more, they must be palletized and double-wrapped. Each pallet's cartons must have outward-facing labels. Shipments require a master Bill of Lading combining all daily Bill of Ladings. The Bill of Lading must include shipment commodity, freight classification, number of pieces, weight, and Forman Mills PO #. Ambiguous notations like "STC" or "SLC" are not accepted.

Each carton is required to have a label of standard size 4 x 6, using Arial 12-point font or equivalent. Cartons must be labeled with the "Ship To" and return addresses, PO number, style numbers, quantity, size range, color assortment, and indication of the packing list on the lead carton. Labels must be placed on the short side of the carton in the lower left-hand corner, facing out, be easily readable, and not covered by tape. Only one label per carton is allowed. Labels for cartons with equal width and length should be on the panel not parallel to the top flap seam. If stamped information does not match the label, it should be crossed out. There are no specific requirements for pallet labels mentioned.

Labels must be placed on the short side of the carton in the lower left-hand corner. Labels must be facing out and visible upon receipt of goods to the DC. For cartons with equal width and length dimensions, the shortest side of the carton is considered to be the panel, which does not run parallel to the top flap seam of the carton. Place carton in an upright position and label must be read left-to-right as if reading a book. Do not place tape or packing materials over any label. Place only one label on a carton. Do not cover valid carton markings with a printed label.
