Five Below Packaging Guidelines

Packing lists must be included with each shipment, both attached to and inside the lead carton. The packing list on the lead pallet should be clearly visible. For shipments over multiple trailers, each trailer must have a corresponding packing list. A single list for multiple trailers is not accepted.

A physical packing list must be included with each shipment. The lead carton must have a packing list attached to it that is clearly visible on the outside of the lead pallet; also include the packing list in the lead carton. If a shipment is spread over multiple trailers, there must be a packing list for each trailer that corresponds with the product on that trailer. A single packing list reflecting product on multiple trailers will not be accepted.

Pallets must not be built with a hollow center and cannot use column stacking. They must be built as a stable interlocking block.

Purchase orders must not be mixed within a single carton. Each item on a purchase order must arrive in a single case pack and pallet configuration. Multiple case pack and/or pallet configuration will not be accepted.

SKUs can be mixed on a single pallet if the order size dictates SKU consolidation is necessary. In such cases, SKUs should be grouped together by layering them per pallet, using a slip sheet or plastic sheet to separate SKUs. A chargeback will result if the pallet is not grouped and layered by SKU.

Allowed pallets for shipping are 40" by 48" wooden pallets, 4-way entry style pallets. Pallets with plastic feet and block pallets are not accepted. CHEP pallets are also not accepted.

Minimum carton size is 6"L x 4"W x 4"H and weight is 5 pounds. Maximum carton size is 36"L x 22"W x 24"H and weight is 40 pounds.

The maximum weight of pallets is 1,700 lbs. There is no specified minimum weight.

The Bill of Lading (BOL) must include: Destination Distribution Center address and DC identifying number, Freight Terms (Collect or Prepaid), Vendor name and complete ship from address, Vendor's ID number, Ship date, Carrier name, Purchase Order number, Carton and pallet counts, and Weight. These details ensure proper processing and tracking of shipments.

Carton markings must be facing outward and the UCC-128 Label must be on the top right corner of the carton. Pallet labels should include the PO number, product item number, and pallet carton total, and should be approximately 8 1/2" x 11" for clear visibility.

Inner packs must be of corrugated cardboard with minimum 2-ply. Inner polybags are not acceptable without approval. If used, they must be sealed and labeled with UPC, item number, item description, and quantity. Ship full cases with single items per case, unless exceptions apply such as 'pack by store' orders. Cases must match pack quantities listed on the PO and be packed to ensure safe and saleable condition, avoiding any damage.

The maximum pallet height allowed is 96 inches for domestic shipments and 84 inches for Direct-To-Store shipments.
