Are there any requirements for packing lists when shipping cartons?

Packing lists must be authorized and include vendor name, style, PO number, description, size ratio, gross and net weight per carton, dimensions per carton, quantity per carton, color, and total carton quantity. The document does not specify exact placement location for the packing list.

Can pallets be stacked?

Pallets must not be double stacked, as unstable and double stacked pallets will be rejected due to safety protocol. The height of a pallet must not exceed 72 inches.

Can SKUs be mixed on a single pallet?

SKUs of a style/color/size must be in adjacent boxes and in sequential order on pallets. All labels must be visible for auditing. Pallets must be stable once palletized, and double stacking is not allowed. Pallets must not exceed 72 inches in height and must be shrink-wrapped. Cartons must not extend past the pallet footprint.

Can SKUs be mixed within a single carton?

What are the allowed pallet types for shipping?

Pallets must be constructed of plywood or solid wood material, and for import shipments, they must be stamped with the IPPC logo. What are the max and min dimensions for shipping cartons?

For apparel, the standard dimensions are 24" x 18" x 6.5" at minimum and 24" x 18" x 12" at maximum. For accessories, dimensions must not exceed 24" x 18" x 12". Footwear has a standard carton size of 24" x 18" x 12" with no minimum size for the final box per size.

What are the max and min weights for shipping cartons?

The maximum weight for individual cartons is 50 lbs (22.72 kg). There is no minimum size dimension mentioned for cartons.

What are the requirements for carton or pallet labels and their placement?

Cartons must contain Inbound Carton Content Labels (ICCL) which are 4" X 6" white shipping labels. Each carton requires 2 ICCLs placed on the bottom right corner of the short side of each carton. The barcode should be facing the left side. The label must include PO number and must match the Packing list PO. Carton labels must not be covered with tape, as this will make the barcode unscannable. Labels can either be stenciled onto the carton or printed onto a 4" X 6" shipping label affixed to the long side of the carton. All labels must face out for visibility and auditing. Cartons containing delicate items should have "Handle with Care, Fragile" labels.

What are the requirements for inner packs and cases?

All cartons must contain a single style/color/size (single SKU); packing garments in bundle packs is not allowed. Cartons should not "overstuff" and must not contain excessive fillers such as tissue, paper, or polybags. All cartons have to be the same size and contain the same quantity per style/color/size, except for the "end" carton. Delicate fabrications and oversized items require prior approval for non-standard carton sizes. Cartons should be sealed with tamper-evident security tape and made from corrugated cardboard with a minimum edge crush strength of 40 lbs or burst strength of 200 lbs. per square inch.

What are the requirements for placing labels on cartons being shipped?

Cartons must have Inbound Carton Content Labels (ICCL) which are 4" X 6" White Shipping Labels with the PO # matching the packing list. Each carton requires two ICCLs placed on the bottom right corner of the short side of each carton. Additionally, the carton must have a shipping label on the "length" side. It should include vendor name and address, FN Style#, color, size, quantity, country of origin, weight in lbs., Fashion Nova Distribution Center Address, Fashion Nova PO number, carton label as "New" for new styles or "Re-order" for re-order styles, and carton number (e.g., 1 OF X). Markings can be stenciled or printed on a 4" X 6" shipping label/paper affixed to the long side of the carton. There is no mention of GS1 or UCC18 labels.
