Mark the carton "packing list inside." When the packing list refers to items inside several cartons, place the packing list inside Carton Number 1 and mark all cartons "Packing List Inside Carton Number 1."

Yes, pallets may be double-stacked in the trailer, provided the weight and/or height will permit. Merchandise must be stacked on pallets with no overhang product over the edge, and stacked by item to be segregated. All slip-sheets and/or pallet merchandise must be stretch-wrapped to help prevent merchandise loss or damage during shipment.

No, orders cannot be mixed in a single carton. Each carton must be packed according to the specified lowest distribution unit and only one item per carton or inner carton. Mixing orders is not authorized.

Items shipped by full pallet or slip-sheet quantities should have one shipping label on the upper right-hand corner of the pallet. Items shipped as individual carton quantities or mixed pallets need a shipping label on each carton. Additionally, for pallets designed to be delivered intact, all four sides should have labels stating: "DO NOT BREAK DOWN PALLET."

Shipments consolidated into master cartons are not exempt from requirements that all inner pack cases are packaged according to the order and in designated order case quantities. Markings on cartons must be clear and easily read, with non-pertinent markings removed or covered. A carton tag or label will be used if printing or stenciling is not practical. Each carton must have marks including Exchange PO number, Exchange destination facility number, item description, color/size/style if applicable, case pack, selling unit UPC label, date of manufacture, or expiration date if perishable. "REPACK" must be marked on consolidated cartons. Use Uniform Code Council (UCC) labels. The UCC/128 barcode is mandatory along with an advanced shipping notification through EDI.

The maximum height for non-bulk pallets, including the pallet, is 39 inches. For bulk pallets, the maximum height will not exceed 60 inches.
