Alpine Shop Packaging Guidelines

A packing slip is mandatory and must be placed in the lead box, which should be clearly labeled as containing the packing list. The packing slip must contain the following information: vendor name, address, and phone number; Alpine Shop PO # (or assigned SMC PO#); and ship date.

Purchase orders cannot be mixed within a single carton.

For LTL shipments (including boat deliveries), each Bill of Lading must contain the following: 1. Shipper (From) and Consignee (To) 2. Total number of cartons 3. Total number of pallets 4. Total weight in pounds 5. Freight Class 6. NMFC Item Number 7. Exact dimensions (length, width, height) in inches of each pallet 8. Alpine Shop PO number and number of cartons associated with each PO The total number of cartons tendered to the carrier must match the number noted on the Bill of Lading. Do not display shipment value on the Bill of Lading. For labeling cartons, each carton must be labeled with: - Vendor Name and Address - Alpine Shop PO number (or assigned SMC PO#) - Carton Count (e.g., 1 of 2, 2 of 2, etc.)
