Are there any requirements for packing lists when shipping cartons?

For all shipments, partners must include a packing list with each shipment. If packaged inside a carton, "Packing List Enclosed" must be clearly marked on the outside of the container. For DC shipments, the packing slip must be included in carton #1 of multiple carton shipments. The packing list should be clear, concise, and easy to read, containing specific shipment details such as WWG Purchase Order Number, Shipper Name and Address, Ship to Name and Address, Vendor part number and/or UPC, quantity of each item shipped, unit of measure, number of boxes/pallets, total weight of shipment, and tracking number/Pro number.

Are there any requirements for packing lists when shipping pallets?

For all shipments, including pallets, partners must include a packing list with each shipment. The packing list must be complete for all items in the shipment, and must be clear, concise, and easy to read. If packaged inside a carton, "Packing List Enclosed" must be clearly marked on the outside of the container. For DC shipments, the packing slip must be included in carton #1 of multiple carton shipments.

Can pallets be stacked?

Yes, pallets can be stacked. Like part numbers must be stacked together on pallets, and all pallets must be marked with the total number of cartons contained. Additionally, pallets should not exceed 6' in height unless authorized by WWG, and merchandise must not exceed the edges of the pallets and must be secured with shrink wrap.

Can purchase orders be mixed within a single carton?

Purchase orders cannot be mixed within a single carton. Each carton must contain an individual PO.

Can purchase orders be mixed within a single pallet?

Yes, purchase orders can be mixed within a single pallet. WWG supports suppliers packing multiple orders per pallet, but the SSCC number must be repeated for each order loop in the ASN data. Pallets should be marked with the total number of cartons, should not exceed 6' in height unless authorized, and merchandise must be secured with shrink wrap. All pallets must be standard 40" X 48" 4-way size and must not exceed the edges.

Can SKUs be mixed on a single pallet?

Yes, SKUs can be mixed on a single pallet. The requirements are: 1) The pallet must be labeled "MIXED SKU's" if multiple SKUs are included. 2) All merchandise must be secured to/on the pallet with shrink wrap. 3) The partner must ensure that no merchandise exceeds the edges of the pallets. 4) Pallets should not exceed 6' in height unless otherwise authorized by WWG at the time of routing. 5) All pallets must be marked with the total number of cartons contained on the pallet.

Can SKUs be mixed within a single carton?

Yes, SKUs can be mixed within a single carton. However, the same SKU items must be bagged or boxed together and clearly separated. Additionally, the box must be clearly marked with a "MIXED SKU's" label on the same side as the Box content label, leaving 1" space when possible between the two labels.

What are the allowed pallet types for shipping?

All pallets used must be standard 40" X 48" 4-way size.

What are the max and min weights for shipping cartons?

The minimum weight for shipping cartons is not specified. The maximum weight for a master pack is 50 pounds.

What are the min max weight requirements for shipping pallets?

What are the requirements for carton or pallet labels and their placement?

Carton or pallet labels must follow these requirements:
- The label size must be 4x6 inches using standard label stock.
- TWO labels are required, one on top of the box and the next on the right-hand side.
- Labels should be placed in the top left-hand side of the box, never over taped seams of the shipping carton.
- Pallet shipments must have all labels at the end of the carton for visibility when stacked.
- The SSCC-18 / GS1-128 Label must be used for cartons or pallets.

What are the requirements for inner packs and cases?

If multiple SKUs are shipped in master packs, the master pack must be labeled "MIXED SKUs" and inner packs must be separated and labeled accordingly with SKU and description.

What are the requirements for placing labels on cartons being shipped?

Labels must be GS1-128 and approved during testing, mandatory for EDI orders. The label size is 4x6" and must be placed on top and the right-hand side of the box. Place the label on the top left-hand side, avoiding taped seams. Labels should be visible at the end of cartons when stacked. SSCC-18 / GS1-128 labels are used, ensuring the SSCC carton/pallet ID in the GS1-UCC128 barcode is in suppliers' ASN data.

What is the max pallet height allowed when shipping?

Pallets should not exceed 6' in height, unless otherwise authorized by WWG at the time of routing.
