Where do I place the label on a carton?
For master cartons using Uline red/white labels, place the label in the top left corner on the short side of the box – never on the long side. If the box’s height is less than 4", the label should be in the bottom left corner; if the box’s depth is less than 4", the label should remain in the top left. For vendor labels (if used), they should be omitted when possible, but if applied they must be placed in the top right corner. Additionally, do not cover Uline labels with tape and ensure shipping labels (eg, UPS) are placed on the long side so they do not interfere.
Where do I place the label on a pallet?
There are two labeling situations. For master cartons, Uline’s red/white labels must be placed in the top left corner of the carton on the short side. Exceptions include: if the box height is less than 4 inches, the label should go in the bottom left corner; and if the box depth is less than 4 inches, the label remains on the top left. In addition, if vendor labels are used, they should be placed in the top right corner. For bulk skid (pallet) shipments, labels must be applied directly to the stretch wrap in the top left corner of the short side (or front) of the skid, ensuring the labeled side of the carton faces outward on the pallet.
