Can you mix multiple SKUs per pallet?
No, you cannot mix multiple SKUs on a pallet. Each packaging level, including master cases on a pallet, is expected to contain only one type of product.
Can you mix POs in a single carton?
No, you cannot mix purchase orders in a single carton. Each carton or case must contain only one type of product with its corresponding labels and packing list.
What are the max dimensions and weights for cartons?
Cartons or individual items that measure more than 18 inches in any two dimensions and weigh over 28 lbs are considered oversized.
Where do I place the label on a carton?
For individual units, the product label must be placed on the outside of the packaging (never inside a polybag). For cases, you must affix both the unit label and the case label (which includes the SKU information) on the outside of the case. For inner packs and master cases, the case label (displaying the case SKU or quantity x SKU name) and the base product label must be placed externally. Additionally, for shipping cartons, labels should be placed in an easily visible location – either on the top or the side (with side placement preferred) and must not be placed on the seam.
Where do I place the label on a pallet?
For pallets: affix the label to the outside of the shrink-wrap – preferably on each side. The label must include the ASN (with pallet count if multiple pallets are shipped), your company’s details, and The Grommet warehouse address. For inner packs: the label (a white label with a 0.2 cm border, minimum 12 pt font, and at least 1 in x 0.25 in size) should be applied on the product packaging so it’s visible. For master cases: both the case label (showing the SKU and product quantity) and the base product label must be affixed on the outside of the case. For individual units: the product label (with SKU or UPC and a scannable barcode) must be visible on the outside of the packaging and not inside a polybag.
