What are the requirements for carton or pallet labels and their placement?
All pallets of finished goods, ingredients, and packaging must include a label to identify the material. At minimum, one label per pallet per item is required. The label should be 4" by 6" or half a sheet of letter-sized paper. Acceptable barcode symbologies are Code 39, Code 128, UPC, or I2 of 5. The Adage item code or UPC barcode must be scannable from a distance of eight feet, and barcodes for dates and lot numbers must be scannable from three feet.
