Below you will find a common list of FAQs that our users have when it comes to packaging guidelines for Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Can you mix multiple SKUs per pallet?
Yes, multiple SKUs can be combined on a single pallet if they are destined for the same location, provided that the pallet is properly labeled with PO/SKU/quantity details.
Can you mix POs in a single pallet?
Yes. Multiple items and/or POs with the same destination may be combined on a single pallet.
What are the max dimensions and weights for cartons?
For UPS shipments, cartons must weigh no more than 90 lbs. Additionally, the longest side should not exceed 48 inches, the second longest side should not exceed 30 inches, and the combined length and girth must not exceed 130 inches.
Where do I place the label on a carton?
For shipments other than small parcel, the label must be an adhesive shipping label printed with the required carton content information (NFM PO#, SKU/model/UPC, and quantity) and must be applied as close as possible to the printed model number without covering it or any carton markings. It must be free of wrinkles, tape, or other labels obstructing any part of it. If all required information does not fit, a separate carton content label must be placed on the same side of the carton. For small parcel shipments, the label needs only to reference the PO#. In addition, for Direct to Customer shipments, the label must display the vendor address in the top left corner, the customer address in the center, and the NFM purchase order number in the bottom left corner.
Where do I place the label on a pallet?
For non‐direct shipments (all shipments except D2C), the pallet (or carton) must have an outer shipping label that includes the NFM PO#, item identification (SKU, Model or UPC), and quantity. The label must be printed on an adhesive label (not plain paper or inside a plastic sleeve), applied smoothly without wrinkles or tape covering any part of it, and placed as close as possible to the printed model number without covering it or any existing carton markings. Any additional labels with missing information must be placed on the same side. For direct-to-customer shipments, the label must be positioned so that the top left shows the Vendor address, the center shows the Customer address, and the bottom left shows the NFM purchase order number for carrier tracking.
