Below you will find a common list of FAQs that our users have when it comes to packaging guidelines for Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM).

Can I stack pallets?
Yes, if your pallets are double stackable, you should indicate the number of pallet positions as half the actual count (for example, enter 4 instead of 8).
What are the max dimensions and weights for cartons?
Cartons must not exceed 125 lbs; the carton length must not exceed 108 inches or have a combined length and girth over 165 inches; and the volume must be no more than 20 cubic feet.
Where do I place the label on a carton?
There are three different label placement requirements. For shipments using non‐EDI (manual) carton marking, the carton itself must display the NEXCOM location number, ship‐to address (from the Plan-to-Address remark), purchase order number and department number on its exterior and one carton must have a clear envelope on its outside labeled in 1/2" lettering with ‘Packing Slip Enclosed.’ For EDI 856 ASN shipments, the master carton must be marked on all six sides with the words “Master Carton” (and must not display a UCC-128), while each inner carton (assigned to a store location) should have one UCC-128 shipping container label. Finally, per the UCC-128 Label Requirements, a UCC-128 label must be placed on the top of a carton, aligned parallel to but not overlapping the seam, not covering any product IDs, UPC barcodes, or retail pricing, and if the carton is under 4½ inches in height, the label must be placed on the top with the barcode positioned no closer than 1.25 inches from any edge.
