Can I stack pallets?
Yes, you can stack pallets. However, if you choose to double-stack pallets, it increases the risk of product damage and all associated risk and liability will be assumed by the supplier. Also, products should be stacked no higher than 72 inches.
Can you mix multiple SKUs per pallet?
Yes. Multiple SKUs are allowed on a pallet as long as like products for the same purchase order are grouped together and clearly labeled. Additionally, if one SKU makes up the majority of a pallet, that SKU should be placed on the bottom to minimize re‐handling.
Can you mix POs in a single carton?
No, each packing list should represent a single Purchase Order, so mixing POs in a single carton is not allowed.
Can you mix POs in a single pallet?
No, you cannot mix POs in a single pallet. Each packing list must represent a single Purchase Order.
Where do I place the label on a carton?
For case labels, there are two main requirements based on label type. For GTIN-14 (ITF-14) labels: the ITF-14 barcode must be printed in a format compliant with GS1 standards with a minimum size of 3" in length by 3/4" in height; it must be placed on a minimum of two sides of the case – one side being the longest – and positioned at least 3/4" from the edge of the case wall and 1.25" from the bottom. For GS1-128 labels: the barcode (which must include the parenthesized Application Identifier (01) for the GTIN) must similarly be placed on at least two sides of the case, with one side being the longest. Additionally, for both removable or tear-off labels, they must be applied securely so they withstand the conditions of warehouse receiving, picking, and palletizing systems.
Where do I place the label on a pallet?
For pallet placards, the label (or placard) must be placed on the upper right corner of both the front and the back of the pallet and must include details such as date, ship from, ship to, pallet count, and PO numbers. For GS1-128 labels, if a removable or tear-off label is used, it must be applied in a manner that ensures it remains on the pallet during receiving, picking, and palletizing – though no specific location is prescribed.
