Are there any requirements for packing lists when shipping cartons?

Packing slips must be on the outside of the master packed carton in a removable envelope and should state the carton contents including purchase order number, style number, size, color, quantity, and number of cartons. For volume shipments, the packing slip should be attached to the outside of one designated lead carton, which should be clearly marked as the Lead Carton on all four sides and placed towards the Top of the Pallet facing out. Cartons must clearly indicate the lead carton, and the packing slip must be on the outside end or side of this carton.

Are there any requirements for packing lists when shipping pallets?

For volume shipments, the packing slip for all purchase orders must be placed in a removable envelope and attached to the outside of one designated lead carton. This envelope should be clearly marked as 'Packing Slips Enclosed.' The lead carton should be clearly identified as the 'Lead Carton' on all four sides and placed towards the top of the pallet facing out.

Can purchase orders be mixed within a single carton?

No, purchase orders cannot be mixed within a single carton. Each box must have one PO per box.

Can SKUs be mixed within a single carton?

SKUs cannot be mixed within a single carton, especially for bulk orders. Such an action would result in a chargeback.

What are the max and min weights for shipping cartons?

All cartons shipped via UPS must weigh 6 pounds or more. Cartons under 6 pounds should be master packed to meet weight requirements according to UPS guidelines.

What are the requirements for Bills of Lading when it comes to pallet (freight) or carton (parcel) shipments?

For pallet (LTL) shipments, Bills of Lading must:
- Combine all same day shipments on one Bill of Lading.
- Include Purchase Order numbers, number of cartons, weight, and pickup date.
- List number of pallets, total cartons, and weight (do not mark as STC).
- Show which party loaded and counted freight.
- Be verified by the driver's agent for unit counts.
- State NMFC IT 49880-Sub 4 details for merchandise.

For parcel shipments:
- UPS shipments must include the Purchase Order number in reference field #1 of the UPS label.
- Use UPS account number 600404 for billing Freight Collect.
- Ensure UPS cartons weigh at least 6 pounds, with master packing for lighter items.

What are the requirements for carton or pallet labels and their placement?

1. All cartons must be marked with our purchase order number and the total number of cartons in the shipment in the upper right-hand corner (Example: Box 1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.).
2. The cartons must clearly indicate the lead carton; the packing slip must be on the outside end or side of this carton.
3. The outside of each carton should indicate the style number, size, and quantity within each carton.
4. For master packed small package shipments, each master carton must be marked "Open For Distribution" and individual cartons must be clearly marked with the store number.

What are the requirements for inner packs and cases?

Vendors should pack in case packs/size run by style when requested by the buyer. If individual cartons can be consolidated into master cartons, each master carton must be marked "Open For Distribution." Individual cartons must be clearly marked with the store number.
