No; you cannot mix different purchase orders in one carton. If multiple parts (SKUs) from the same purchase order fit into one carton, you must apply a 'Mixed Parts' label. Under no circumstance should purchase orders be mixed within the same carton.

Can you mix multiple SKUs per pallet?

Yes. You can mix different SKUs on a pallet as long as you meet the guidelines – for example, when mixing parts (SKUs) from a single purchase order, all cartons must be labeled with the PO number and the pallet must display the appropriate shipping label, or when mixing purchase orders destined for the same location, you must keep like POs together and use a placard stating 'MIXED POs'. Note that while you can mix SKUs on a pallet, you must not mix purchase orders within the same carton.

Can you mix POs in a single pallet?

Yes, you can mix POs on a single pallet, provided they are all for the same final Fastenal destination and you follow the specified procedures: palletize the product together, keep like purchase orders together, use the approved product barcode on all levels, attach one packing slip per order, label each carton with its PO number, and place a Generic Shipping Label with a placard stating 'MIXED POs' on the pallet outer wrap listing the PO numbers and box counts.

What are the max dimensions and weights for cartons?

Cartons must not exceed 50 lbs. No maximum dimensions are specified.

Where do I place the label on a carton?

For National Promotions, attach the promotional label on the side facing the forklift operator when unloading and one of the adjacent sides. For shipping cartons, attach a unique GS1-128 shipping label on the largest flat side of the carton.
