What are the max and min dimensions for shipping cartons?

Minimum carton size is not applicable for length and width, but height is 44 inches. Maximum carton size is 30 inches in length, 23 inches in width, and 50 inches in height, which requires a high cube container.

What are the max and min weights for shipping cartons?

The gross weight of all cartons cannot exceed 50 pounds (22.68 kg). There is no specified minimum weight for cartons.

What are the requirements for Bills of Lading when it comes to pallet (freight) or carton (parcel) shipments?

The carrier should verify carton counts at pickup. Bills of lading should be signed as cartons, not as pallets 'said to contain'. Vendors are responsible for carton shortages on palletized or shipper load and count shipments where the carrier does not verify piece count.

What are the requirements for carton or pallet labels and their placement?

Carton labels need to include a 128 Label or a Standard Shipping Label. Key details for placement include: only one 128 Carton Label should be placed on the side or end of the carton. Do not place the label on the top or bottom of the carton. If there is no flat surface on shorter cartons, do not wrap the carton number barcodes over the edge. For hanging cartons, place the 128 Carton Label on the right-hand facing front top side where the hanger is inserted. Masterpack cartons should have a standard shipping label, not a 128 label, and be clearly marked "Masterpack." All cartons require specific data on the labels such as ship from name and address, destination details, PO number, department number, store pack number, and carton number in both bar-code and human-readable formats.

What are the requirements for inner packs and cases?

Each inner carton must be marked with a 128 Label containing the store number; do not put a 128 label on the outside of the Masterpack carton. There is no UPC assigned to the Masterpack. Use a standard shipping label for the Masterpack carton. Clearly mark "Masterpack" on the carton and the PO number in at least 3/8" tall numbers.

- Barcode dimensions with .25" quiet zone, Postal Zip & PO no. .5" high, SSCC 1.25" high & 3.1" wide
- Human Readable text should be minimum 3/8" high.
